Enzo Life Sciences continues to expand its ELISA portfolio. A leading manufacturer of high quality ELISAs, Enzo continues to invest in developing immunoassays with the launch of their new VEGF ELISA Kit.
Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), originally known as vascular permeability factor (VPF), is a family of proteins that stimulate vasculogenesis and angiogenesis. The VEGF family comprises five members: VEGF-A, VEGF-B, VEGF-C, VEGF-D and PGF (placenta growth factor) 1-3. Being the first of the VEGF family members to be discovered, VEGF-A is often simply referred to as VEGF.
The VEGF ELISA Kit provides a quantitative, competitive detection method for measuring melatonin in serum, plasma, and cell culture supernants. This ultra-sensitive assay measures as little as 4 pg /ml of VEGF and provides fully quantitative results. The ELISA kit is highly specific with 100% cross-reactivity to VEGF 165 with negligible cross-reactivity to related molecules including VEGF 121. With the ability to analyze up to 38 samples in duplicate in 2.5 hours, these kits meet the needs for rapid, high-throughput analysis.
Like many other Enzo Life Sciences ELISA kits, the VEGF ELISA kit is complete, flexible and thoroughly validated. They are supplied with an easy-to-follow protocol, pre-coated microtiter plate and liquid color-coded reagents to save the user time and reduce errors. The break-a-part strip plate design provides flexibility – not having to run all 96-wells at once. Each kit is put through rigorous fit-for-purpose validation and stability testing to ensure high precision, accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity.
The release of the VEGF ELISA kit is the most recent addition to the Enzo portfolio of products for Asthma, Diabetes, Autoimmune, Inflammation, Cancer, Neuroscience, Cardiovascular and Stem Cell research.
