MeiraGTx has opened what it claims is the first commercial-scale gene therapy manufacturing site in Shannon, Ireland. AbCellera has begun the second phase of expansion at its Vancouver, Canada plant aimed at supporting antibody demand from its biopharma partners. As part of a multiyear $650 million CAPEX spend across its bioprocessing business, Thermo Fisher has brought an 85,000 square-foot purification product plant online.
